This historical value of the inn and the ificance of Grafton in preserving rural New England charm cannot be understated. It truly is like walking back in time.
I stayed here with my wife in mid-October The service was good and the rooms were quaint if not a tad uncomfortable, given the peak season rates. The property was beautiful. The buildings were filled with artifacts and were fun to explore.
Despite being a very small village, there were enough activities, shops and restaurants to fill our 2 night stay. To give you a sense of what you'll encounter, watch the movie "Funny Farm," which was filmed in the area the house from the film is actually in Grafton.
We met people here who return here year after year, which will not be us. But even if you don't catch the Grafton fever, you won't regret making at least one visit.
