Once, we saw a similar sign in Sears, for a tent. SALE $699.88!!! it proclaimed in LOUD BRIGHT LETTERS! And underneath, really small, it said normally $699.99 Save 11 cents!
We stole it, cuz this was the days before cell phones, and we were so amused. The little yellow sign, that is, not the tent.
Yes, the anonymous comment is excellent, as is the "sale".
Come to NJ for asparagus. It was $2.99/lb and I thought THAT was a rip-off. Thanks for putting things into perspective.
